We let the composition of every stone we grade determine which processes need to be carried out to determine whether a stone is synthetic or natural, which treatments it may have been subject to, and what the actual type and grade is. If we encounter any unusual material, we always let the customer know if any additional testing is required, and ask for approval before we proceed.
